Performance Measurement Work Group Meeting

Meeting Minutes of May 2, 2007 

1.   Welcome and Introductions 

2.   Health Care Vision 2020 Status Update – B. White reviewed the HCV 2020 Strategic Plan Overview, Guiding Principles and organizational charts. General discussion followed regarding the process, funding, roles and responsibilities of the four work groups.

3.   Work Group Charter Review – B. White reviewed the Measurement Work Group Charter.  General discussion followed regarding the task of the work group including measuring quality outcomes, provider performance results, consumer satisfaction, cost effectiveness and overall concerns regarding the quality and reliability of data. 

4.   Work Group Roster - Staff will provide a listing of the HCV 2020 Governance Board and the four work group participant rosters at the next meeting (also available on www.afh.org) and will send out by e mail with the other materials reviewed at this meeting. 

5.   Work Plan Review - This will be discussed at the following meeting along with review of the AQA measures and other learning regarding physician performance measures currently being used in various environments such as provider organizations, health plans or by various other quality improvement organizations such as AHRQ, NQF or NCQA. 

6.   Other Business 

·     share rosters of the HCV 2020 Governance Board members and members of each of the four work groups;  this is

·     send all meeting materials electronically in advance of the next meeting

·     invite other representatives from health plans, employers, the public, community leadership representatives and providers to join the performance measure group 

7.    Meeting Schedule - The group agreed to meet on the first Wednesday of every month at 4:00 – 5:30 PM at Metro Health in the Presidents Conference Room
