About a year and a half ago, the Alliance for Health was privileged to have Dr. Marsha Rappley as our guest for a First Friday Forum.  She and her staff members described the behind the scenes efforts to bring the MSU Medical School to West Michigan.  Things have progressed and we thought it was time for an update. The first fifty second-year medical school students arrive this fall, faculty members are being trained, the academic program is being but in place, and construction is about to begin for the Secchia Center on “Medical Mile” in Grand Rapids.

You won’t want to miss this forum - Dean Rappley and her senior leadership team will discuss their progress to date and plans for the future in West Michigan.

Moderator:
Peter F. Secchia, Former US Ambassador to Italy

Speakers:
Marsha D. Rappley, MD, Dean, MSU College of Human Medicine

Aron Sousa, MD, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs,MSU College of Human Medicine

Jeff Dwyer, PhD, Associate Dean for Research, MSU College of Human Medicine
